Quick Update

floors refinished, table legs and trim painted white, walls painted (though Claire thinks it's too purpley..we've picked up some different paint and will be rolling that on soon)....currently painting the living room...

attic - lots of storage space..could finish this off at some point?

basement garage - finished room on far side will likely end up a gym area

bedroom 3 - office or guest room?

dining room across from kitchen - hardwoods underneath, wallpaper will be removed

kitchen - we'll be removing the cabinetry on the near left side, moving the washer/dryer to the basement, and updating the cabinet doors, hardware, and countertops (tile floor?)

This is the layout; we intend to drywall over the doorway between the hallway and kitchen and open up another entry between the kitchen and the living room. The extra wall space in the kitchen will be used for a pantry

Living room - the carpet is in great shape but is a terrible brown color; hardwoods underneath; we're expecting them to be in good condition; we're planning to open up (maybe double or more) the doorway between the dining and living rooms
























Peek into the kitchen from living room - kitchen cabinets will get new hardware/paint; washer/dryer are moving into the basement

Office/guest bedroom (other bedroom not pictured) - all bedrooms have large closets (for a 1950's house) and a fair amount of light

Hall/guest bath - wallpaper will come down; a shower and tile floor will be added

Master bedroom - the hardwoods are what we're expecting in the rest of the house (based on conversations with the seller and inspecting under vents)

Master bath - does not have a tub; we've considered moving the wall out towards the guest bath and making room for a bathtub and double vanity (we'll see)

Rear view - garage entrance; should be enough room in the basement for two cars

Outbuilding - will house lawn mower and yard tools
